Do All Filipinos Speak With An American Accent ?

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

For past week or so I’ve been calling the help-line for my phone service provider (T-Mobile UK)
I had presumed that they had re-located their call centre to the United States as everyone I talked to had an American voice/accent, so I was quite surprised to read that they had in fact moved the call centre to the Philippines

Dear Friend,
In a brief introduction, I am Hajj Sankoh, the Director of Operation with AFRICA DEVELOPMENT BANK (ADB) of Benin-Cotonou ,Republic of Benin.I have a very interesting transaction to discuss with you. The business under discussion has to do with one of our customer a national of your country, who is a Consultant/ contractor with Societe Nationale Des Products D’ Agricole (SONAPRA) Company in Benin-Cotonou. I managed to get your contact details through the Internet search myself because time is of importance to it and I am desperately looking for Someone to assist me to pull this money out from the bank before our corrupt government officials will confiscate the money. On Thursday, December 25, 2003, this our customer , his wife and their only daughter were involved in Air-Crash near the Atlantic Ocean in Cotonou suburb.
Since then I have made several inquiries to your Embassy, in a bid to locate any relation of this our customer. All attempts to reach the next of kin of our customer has been futile as He had no family here in Benin Republic.Hence my decision to contact you. I want you and I to go into partnership, the nature of your business is completely irrelevant to this transaction as all I need from you is an assurance that my interest will be fully protected once this transaction is concluded. He made a numbered time (fixed) deposited for twelve calendar Months and his account with our Bank accrues to about (Fourteen Million, Three hundred and Fifty- Two Thousand US Dollars) $USD14.352M.
According to the Benin Law, at the expiration of (Five) years, the money will revert to the ownership of the Benin government if nobody applies to claim the funds. Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as a foreigner to stand in as the next of kin to our customer so that the fruits of this old man’s labour will not get into the hands of some corrupt government officials who will latter use the money to sponsor war in Africa and kill innocent citizens in the search for political power/seat. Please note that There will be no problem at all, my position as the Director of Operation guarantees the successful execution of this transaction within 7 Banking days and the money will be paid into your account for us to share in the ratio of 40% for you and 60% for me.This is very simple, I will like you to reply immediately so that I can send you the Text of application which you will fill and apply to the bank as the next of kin to our customer and I will use my good position in the bank as the Director of Operation to make sure that the application is approved, during board meeting for immediate payment. How Much Should You Realistically Pay A Private Detective To Locate A Person With The Following Information?

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

I’m having trouble locating someone I had done business with to deliver an important document and message. The message needs to be delivered to this person in real life, not via the Internet or email, and not via postal mail. It needs to be signed in order to make sure it is received. The challenge is that this individual was somewhat a private person, and I do not know too many people who associated with this individual in real life. This individual does not have an online presence, and when I say online presence, they do not typically use any online social sites, and for the one they did use, they have not logged on in months. I honestly do not know if this individual is dead or alive, but I was notified that this person has passed away.
I have the following information on the individual:
- 1 old mobile number and one current number (voicemail is filled up, and they never pick up when I call)
- IP Address (from logging into my website)
- 3 old email addresses (does not respond to email)
- 2 old snail mail addresses (does not live at these addresses)
- 1 website domain (keeps information on “whois” search private)
I know other information, like the last place this person was seen, the last time I spoke to this person on the phone, and the last hotel they stayed at with the dates. I found some other information from online public records services, but these addresses are outdated and I’ve been told. I am researching private investigators, but they all seem expensive. How can I find someone who is reliable in order to help me solve this mystery about the whereabouts of this missing person?Private investigators looking to charge me hundreds of dollars for this location service. Can you really find the location of someone? I am wondering if there is anyone who can assist with this location for a low cost, without spending a lot to find a person.

Help With Internet On W960 (t Mobile)?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Alright, I bought a W960 phone off ebay, and it all works perfectly, but I just can’t get the internet working.
I don’t know much about internet, so I am just going to explain what I’ve done so far, and see if anyone can help me.
Okay, this phone was originally on O2, but I got it unlocked so that I could use my T mobile SIM card. It came with 2 O2 internet settings, and a Bluetooth one. I tried connecting to the internet via the O2 ones, and it said “Could not locate remote server http://www.google.com”.
I then went onto the T mobile site, and got them to send me the details to configure my internet. I did this, and “T Mobile Inter.” appeared, so I set this as the default.
My internet still does not work at all though, is this because my phone is unlocked, or am I just setting it up wrong?
Thanks for your help.

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Yesterday I was looking to buy the Nokia N95 online and came across a few websites on gumtree that were selling the latest mobile phones in bulk for a very good price, too good to be true! When I contacted these people regarding orders and payments, they only accept payments in Money Gram or Western Union (Most of us know Scammers only use these methods of payments) I just want to know how can they get away with it and can anything be done to report these websites? Here are some of the deals and websites I got them from:

Is It Possible To Ditch The ‘wayfinder’ Navigation On A Sony Ericsson C905 And Replace It With Tom Tom?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

I have a Sony Ericsson c905 phone with built in GPS. With it comes a navigation application called ‘wayfinder’. It’s OK but it seems it uses the mobile phone connection to locate positions rather than the GPS. Is it possible to ditch this application and replace it with Tom Tom or Garmin or something that does just use GPS? And if so how?
Also, anybody got any recommended applications etc, things that can be done with a c905?

Does T-mobile Offer Any Phones With Features Similar To The Lg’s Rumor?

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

I am currentely with T-Mobile, because they offer the best coverage service where I am located but I really like the small candybar style phone with the slide out full keyboard that the Rumor (by LG) has. I love that phone!!! I text message a lot so I really want a full keyboard, so much more convenient! but I don’t want a large bulky phone, like the T-Mobile’s Sidekick or like the Blackberry. Please anyone know of a phone like the Rumor that I can get but still stay with T-Mobile???
